The first thing to do is make a BACKUP copy of PMB and put it away. This is
good advise and you should do this with ANY pgm you aquire.
UNARC PMB.ARC on a blank formated disk that does NOT contain your System files
on it as you will need all the room available, after the file is UNARCED
delete the PMB.ARC file from the disk.
FOR HIGH VOLUME DISKETTES:
Transfer ALL these files on a disk containing your System Operating Files
and type: <RUN1ST> this will create the necessary Sub-directorys and place
the various files where they belong. ALWAYS start PMB from the ROOT directory.
Type RUN to start PMB.
FOR 360K DISKETTES:
If using a 5 1/4" diskette then format a disk without the systems files and
then copy ALL the files from the PMB disk to this newly formatted disk, then
after running RUN1ST.BAT copy your COMMAND.COM to the ROOT directory of the
diskette. Type RUN to start PMB.

NOTICE!!! To INSTALL the pgms on this disk to your Hard drive put this disk
in the (A) drive and type INSTALL

All the files that end in .SET are in the \PMB\MB directory and contain the
parameter settings for the TNC.
TNCPARMS.SET ----- sets the overall TNC parameters.
The 2 BAUD.SET files set the TNC and PMB's baud rate (TNC to computer).
NOTE!!! If you are using an AEA TNC then change the last line in both
of the BAUD.SET files from RESET to RESTART or whatever the command is that
you use to change the TNC to computer baud rate and the first line to whatever
is used to change the baud rate, (TNC to computer baud rate).
Example of what the BAUD.SET files should look like:
( AEA ) ( KANTRONICS )
TBAUD 1200 ABAUD 1200
RESTART RESET
The complete DOCUMENTATION file is contained in the PMB directory which you
can read by pressing F5 and then follow the prompts in the menu.
ALL files must be in the proper sub-directorys in order to run PMB. If a file
is missing or in the wrong place PMB will tell you so when you attempt to
run the pgm or certain functions of the pgm.
Use the EDITOR to edit the TNCPARMS.SET file to accomidate your brand of TNC.
This file may be found in the \PMB\MB directory. DO NOT DELETE ANY PARAMETERES
THAT ARE THERE, YOU CAN ADD NEW ONES HOWEVER!!!
______________________________________________________________________________
If you are using the PK-232, delete TNCPARMS.SET file and rename PK-232.SET
to TNCPARMS.SET.
